India have announced the squad for the final three Test matches against England, five days before the start of the third Test match at Rajkot. While most of the squad has been retained from the first two Test matches, the big news is that Virat Kohli will miss the final three matches of the series, after opting out of the first two games in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. In the official statement where BCCI announced India’s squad for the rest of the series against England, the apex Indian cricketing body revealed that Virat Kohli will not be available for the final three matches due to personal reasons, the same reason for which he opted out of the first 2 Test matches. The BCCI in the statement also said that they fully respect and support the former India skipper’s decision

“Virat Kohli will remain unavailable for selection for the remainder of the series due to personal reasons. The Board fully respects and supports Mr. Kohli’s decision,” the BCCI stated.

Virat Kohli’s former RCB teammate Ab De Villiers had revealed that Virat Kohli’s second child was on the way in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision,” de Villiers had stated.

However, now the South African legend as backtracked from his statement and apologized for sharing something without confirming.
