For years, crumbs of cannabis impacted a Maryland man's life. Now he sees a clearer future
As I'm leaving my job, police officers on the side I was riding with no seat belt. OK pulled me over. The ladies said my car smelled like we searched my car. I'm talking about literally like with a piece of tape. She just started grabbing crumbs off the floor. Like like like I said, it was like thinking less than a gram. And she was just like, Yep, you're going to jail. I'm like, what, are you serious? At that time I did feel like, you know, I'm like, man, whatever. Like it's a little petty weed charge. And then like I said, just later on, it just was affecting me when I, when I, when I applied for a job, I felt defeated. I felt, you know, upset a little bit. You know, I was disheartened because like I said, for the last couple months, I did not have a job. So I was just trying to, you know, do the right thing. Oh, I believe it's a big deal. I mean, for me personally, I could literally say after the last 12 years, I have a clean record. So that's, that goes a long way. You know, your record and your credit score, I was told. So, you know, if both of those is clear and clean and doing good, then I should be, I should be. Well, as far as everybody, you know, everybody else besides me, I just feel like this is a, it's a big opportunity for people, you know, to not let struggles get in that way.
