Dwyane Wade's Message To Angel Reese After Making WNBA History
Many think of Dwyane Wade as a former NBA champion and Hall of Fame basketball player with the Miami Heat, but in Chicago, he's viewed as a minority stake owner of the Sky. The WNBA's popularity has skyrocketed over the past few years, and Wade has been at the forefront of change.
He's back in his hometown, helping build the Sky into a championship-winning franchise. The organization brought in first-year head coach Teresa Weatherspoon in the offseason and then made some major moves in the WNBA draft.
Chicago selected Kamilla Cardoso with the No. 3 overall pick and Angel Reese with the No. 7 pick.

Reese and Wade have been known to carry a tight bond. He's been in attendance for some Sky games this season, and there's a video of Wade embracing Reese with a postgame hug in a prior contest.
While he wasn't at the Sky's 83-72 victory over the Dallas Wings on Thursday, he made sure to send Reese a note on social media.
Reese had a historic game against the Wings, becoming the first WNBA rookie in league history to record seven straight double-doubles. She made history with a jaw-dropping 16 points and 18 rebounds.
Wade responded with the applause emoji, giving credit to the rookie's achievement. He also reposted her stats on Instagram, clearly showing love for his team and one of their best players.
With the win on Thursday, the Sky are now 5-9 on the season, breaking the four-game losing streak they once garnered.
