Jeremy Clarkson revealed Elon Musk's opinion

Twitter owner Elon Musk, who boasts close to 188 million followers on the app, has declared that his platform is "by far the best way to reach the most influential people on Earth". Jeremy Clarkson must have been pleased, then, when the news spread on it about how much Elon was enjoying his beer brand.

The Diddly Squat Farm fave took to his own Twitter account last night to boast: "Mr Musk said on social media this week that he doesn't much care for beer but as beers go, Hawkstone is pretty good." He added: "I'd like to return the favour and say that I agree with him. Hawkstone is pretty good."

Within a few minutes, a follower had responded to praise: "Especially the non-blowy up ones!" Jeremy then fired back with an insult he often uses for his Clarkson's Farm sidekick Kaleb Cooper, quipping: "That's the rural halfwit's cider."

He elaborated: "My beer is superb and also non explosive. As is the cider now." Last month, Express.co.uk visited Clarkson's Farm to review and deliver a verdict on Kaleb's famous "exploding cider".

It left something to be desired - but Jeremy's latest tweet has now confirmed that its famous recipe appears to have changed. However, one follower had his eye on Jeremy's girlfriend Lisa Hogan and was wondering if she'd join in with her own personalised drink.

"When are we getting Lisa's Liquor - maybe some vodka or gin?" the follower demanded to know.

Thus far, Jeremy has mainly been promoting Hawkstone, paired with hand-cooked crisps using potatoes grown on the grounds of his farm.

The glowing endorsement from Elon, especially as someone who doesn't normally enjoy beer, is likely to have boosted its profile.

"Does this mean he's no longer bitter about the old Tesla review you did?" one fan joked, referring to Elon's CEO position at the company.

Jeremy previously admitted he'd done a "cruel" review of the first ever Tesla, but defended that he'd been "honest" about how "terrible" it was.

However, he later described the transformation of the brand as "impressive".

The pair do have a history, with Jeremy branding Elon an "idiot" whom he "almost had a fight" with during a 2018 interview with the Independent.

Elon fired back by calling Jeremy "weird" and "rude" on his Twitter account.

Now fans see the prospect of a meeting of minds, with one quipping: "I'm here for Jeremy and @elonmusk sitting down for a chat over some Hawkstone."
