Climate change turbocharged killer heat wave in Southwest US and Mexico, researchers say
We are looking at the the extreme heat that hit Mexico and parts of of the US, Guatemala, Honduras and and also other parts of Central America in early June. Primarily the general message how much that climate change is a massive game changer in these extreme heat. The impacts are actually really bad because only 20 years ago the climate when it comes to heat waves was quite different and so people, people have not. Our societies and also our bodies are not used to these events, even though they are now not rare anymore. I mean, the changes we have seen in the in the last 20 years, which feel like yesterday are so strong. I mean, it's just how much greenhouse gases have been emitted since since the year 2000 and how much of a difference that makes to heat wave. It's just, I mean, I feel for me that's actually much more striking than comparing it to the pre industrial, which seems sort of far away in the different world.
