Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have brought countless new eyes on the WNBA with both their talents on the court and their superstardom off of it.
Both of these talented rookies have impressed in terms of personal statistics so far in Year 1 — but neither of their teams have performed all too well as a whole.
Clark's Indiana Fever are 5-10 to start the year. Reese's Chicago Sky are 4-9.
During Monday morning's episode of First Take, ESPN analyst Andraya Carter criticized Clark and Reese for their subpar team performances — calling both the Fever and Sky "mid."
"I enjoy watching these two trying to have success in the W. But if we're being completely honest, their teams are having a mid-off right now. Their teams are just very mid. They're 8th and 9th in the WNBA standings," Carter said.
Clark and the Fever took down Reese and the Sky in a highly-anticipated rematch on Sunday afternoon. Clark finished the game with 23 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Reese finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Both Clark and Reese will look to improve their teams' "mid" records as the season wears on.
