Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh's nod to Australia at royal event
Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, has added a touch of Australian style to an historic royal event in Windsor.
The royal looked luminous as she attended the Most Noble Order of the Garter service at St George's Chapel in a floral outfit from iconic local label, Zimmermann.
The 59-year-old perfectly paired the outfit with a pastel pink Jane Taylor hat – a nod to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a dress by Aussie label Zimmermann for Garter Day.
Sophie last wore the delicate accessory at the Trooping the Colour in 2022, the same year the Queen celebrated her last birthday before her passing in September 2022.
The senior royal is a fan of the Australian brand, founded by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann.
In 2018, she looked angelic in the 'Whitewave Veil' dress by Zimmermann during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
She is not the only British royal to don the label, with Princess Beatrice, Zara Tindall, Catherine, the Princess of Wales and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, all enjoying Zimmermann style moments.
Sophie and her husband Prince Edward were among other senior royals at the Windsor event alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla
William, the Prince of Wales, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence were also in attendance.
The duchess looked perfectly summery in the pink floral gown.
Catherine did not attend the event. She made her first public appearance in months at Trooping the Colour on June 15.
The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain. It was established by King Edward III approximately 700 years ago.
Queen Camilla was made the Royal Lady of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at the end of 2021.
Garter Day saw Ladies and Knights of the Order of the Garter join a procession down the hill from the Berkshire Castle's State Apartments to St George's Chapel.
Each wore traditional garb including white plumed hats and dark blue velvet robes.

After the service at St George's Chapel, the royals took part in a carriage procession back up the hill to the castle.
King Charles and Queen Camilla travelled by coach and Princess Anne and her husband followed. William rode in a carriage with Sophie and Edward.
Next on the royal agenda is Royal Ascot taking place from June 18 until 22.
