Payton Pritchard Gets Last Laugh on Jordan Poole With Ridiculous Half-Court Shot
The Boston Celtics led the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 67-36 at halftime of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, a first half beatdown punctuated by a Payton Pritchard shot that reminded many fans of the 2021-2022 NBA Finals.
Pritchard's Celtics lost that series to Jordan Poole's Golden State Warriors, a series in which Poole drained an unforgettable long range shot that still haunts Celtics fans to this day.
On Monday night, Pritchard made fans forget about all of that with a ridiculous half-court of his own vs. the Dallas Mavericks that must be seen to be believed.

Pritchard's shot was so impressive, it caused Poole's name to trend on X as fans recalled parallels between the two Hail Mary, long range bombs.
Celtics teammates sprinted over to celebrate with the former Oregon Ducks sharpshooter as they reveled in their huge lead on the scoreboard.
The Celtics led the Mavericks 78-52 early in the third quarter of Game 5.
It looks like it may be time for a parade in Boston sometime in the next few weeks in celebration of what would be the franchise's 18th NBA championship, a new league record.
