Houston Texans begin posting dates for training camp practices, ticket sales

HOUSTON — Houston Texans fans can now start making plans after the team posted dates for training camp beginning in July.
While it is unclear when the first day of practice is, the dates posted to the team’s Facebook page give fans an idea of when open practices might be held and when tickets will be available.
According to the listings, the season ticket member presale will be on Tuesday, July 18 at 10 a.m. The public on-sale will be held on Thursday, July 20 at 10 a.m.
In years past, tickets to open practice were typically free but on a first-come, first-served basis. The listings do not mention anything about prices that could be associated with attending practice or if they will remain free to the public.
According to the listing, everyone older than 2 will need a ticket. Training Camp Practices will be hosted on the outdoor fields at the Houston Methodist Training Center on Kirby Drive across from NRG Stadium.
Day 1 for camp is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23. The Texans are scheduled to start their preseason earlier than normal as they play against the Chicago Bears in the 2024 Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
Legendary receiver Andre Johnson will be the first Texans player to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame that weekend.
