E. Coli outbreak recall list: Which products have customers been asked to return
E. coli
Companies have been forced to recall a variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads as a “precautionary measure” due to possible E.coli contamination.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has listed over 60 products that have been recalled across three manufacturers.
No bacteria has been found in the products directly, but a potential link has been made to an E.coli outbreak that left people across the UK in hospital.
An investigation by public health and food standards officials identified specific type of salad leaf as being eaten by many of the people who contracted STEC.
It is understood the source of the contamination came from a supplier of the salad leaves and was not a result of meal production.
