An accident involving an ammunition explosion occurred at a military training ground near the city of Libava in the Czech Republic, resulting in several casualties.

The Czech Armed Forces reported that emergency assistance is being provided, including the deployment of a medical helicopter to the scene.

The military police are currently handling the situation.

"We are trying to provide help as soon as possible. A medical helicopter has arrived at the scene. The military police are dealing with the incident," a spokesperson from the Czech Armed Forces told Novinky.

This incident follows other recent accidents during military exercises in Europe.

In May, a serviceman died during military exercises in Latvia, and in Sweden, 11 soldiers were injured during a parachute jump at NATO exercises.
