HOUSTON — Two young brothers were shot Sunday night in the Willowbend area of southwest Houston and one of them didn't survive, according to the Houston Police Department.
It happened around 8:40 p.m. at the Lakes at 610 apartments near the South Loop.
The teens were walking in the parking lot when a gray vehicle with two males inside drove up. One of them got out and fired multiple shots at the victims.
The 13-year-old died at the scene. His 16-year-old brother was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, HPD said.
They believe the victims may have been targeted.
The suspects got away in what may be a gray Lexus.
