“The financial consequences of this for the tech platforms are significant,” Mr Coleman told Sky News Australia.

“As a consequence of that, they [social media companies] will fight it hard.

“We’re not playing for the tech platforms, we’re playing for Australian families, and we need to stay very focused on that.”
