Arch Manning makes push for Texas Longhorns to land five-star WR Dakorien Moore
Arch Manning may have to wait another year before he is the "guy" in Austin but he is still looking to help out the team in any way he can.
On the field, that means staying ready for an opportunity just in case he is called upon if soon-to-be three-year starter Quinn Ewers goes down. Off the field, Manning's assistance is needed on the recruiting trail as the Longhorns need him to help them attract some of the best talents in the country.
Unlike most athletes these days, Manning isn't very active on social media by any means. In fact, his X account in which he doesn't follow any other accounts has just three posts: his commitment to Texas, and two dedicated to his partnership with Panini America which saw him donate all of the proceeds to charity. On Instagram, he is a bit more active with a few posts with friends, but when you compare him to most athletes who are consistently posting game-action pictures or just random thoughts. So, when he does in fact post something it is evident that the Longhorns are all in.
Something that we saw on Saturday following what was a massive recruiting day that saw around 20 visitors head to campus.

While Texas would love to land all of the guys that were on campus, the biggest target on the list was five-star receiver Dakorien Moore. The Duncanville (TX) product was previously pledged to LSU but backed off his commitment, thus giving Ohio State, Oregon, and the Longhorns a chance to make another case. Texas was viewed as the immediate favorite to land him after he backed off the LSU commitment, but that doesn't mean it's a done deal.
This is where Manning comes into play. The former five-star and nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning showed just how important Moore is to the program, making sure to post something on Instagram as he looks to bolster the receiver room he'll be slinging the rock to.
Based on social media posts from Moore, he appeared to really enjoy his visit and just how much of a family atmosphere Steve Sarkisian and company displayed this weekend.
It's unclear when Moore is planning to announce his decision, but per 247Sports he does have a visit scheduled to Oregon next weekend. Recruiting insiders still view Texas as the favorite despite strong pushes from LSU and Ohio State.
Moore is ranked as the No. 5 player in the country and the No. 1 receiver in the country.
