Tata Motors is focused on enhancing its positioning in the domestic market, aiming to increase its market share and profitability in both the passenger vehicle (PV) and commercial vehicle (CV) segments in the medium term, according to the Kotak Securities report. By leveraging synergies across business groups, Tata Motors plans to implement separate strategies for superior growth.
The performance for FY2025-26 is expected to remain robust, with earnings per share projected to grow by 15.1% in FY25 and by 11.0% in FY26. The recommendation is to maintain an "ADD" rating, with an unchanged fair value of Rs. 1100 based on the sum-of-the-parts (SoTP) methodology.

The report added that In FY24, the CV business EBITDA margins improved to 10.8% from 7.4% in FY23. The PV business aims to increase its market share to 16% by FY27, and further to 18-20% by FY29-30. A net cash balance sheet is anticipated by FY25.
However, the company's CV market share fell by 160 basis points to 39.1% in FY24 from 41.7% in FY23.
On Friday, the shares of Tata Motors closed at Rs 993.40, 0.78 per cent up from the previous day's closing. The 52 week high and low of the share is Rs 1,065.60 and Rs 557.45.
According to the BSE analytics, the shares of Tata Motors have given returns of 38.04 per cent in the last 6 Months and 74.23 per cent in the last 1 year.
