SuperSport United and Gavin Hunt agree terms

Hunt rejoined Matsatsantsa two years ago and had entered the last few weeks of that initial contract, leading to doubts over his future with the club after he was also offered to Sekhukhune United to fill their vacant hot seat.
But that is all in the past now with the public broadcaster informed the four-time league winning mentor has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
It’s understood the finer details are also being ironed out, with an announcement likely to be made before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
SuperSport remain the club where Hunt has been the most successful following three Premier Soccer League topflight titles between 2008 and 2010.
He then later joined the now defunct Bidvest Wits, where he added another championship trophy in 2017 prior to the club being sold three years later.

The coach, who turns 60 next month, was then appointed by Kaizer Chiefs – arguably the biggest move in his illustrious career, but the Soweto giants were not patient enough after firing Hunt just eight months into his contract.
Hunt then briefly coached at Chippa United before circling back to SuperSport in July 2022 to work with a team that now blends youth with experience.
In his first season back the Tshwane outfit managed to finish third on the DStv Premiership log table, securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
But the second year proved a lot tougher with SuperSport balancing their domestic schedule along with their continental commitments, and as a result Matsatsantsa only managed to finish in seventh place, barely sneaking into the MTN8.
SABC Sport can now reveal Hunt will stay at the club for at least another two years.
