Love Island SPOILER: Samantha distances herself from Joey Essex after his kiss with ex-girlfriend Grace during beer-pong challenge leaves their romance hanging in the balance

Samantha Kenny chose to distance herself from her love interest Joey Essex on Sunday's instalment of Love Island.

The make-up artist, 26, looked visibly fuming after Joey, 33, kissed his ex-girlfriend Grace not once, but twice, during the steamy beer-pong challenge on Friday's episode.

The TOWIE star firstly kissed Grace in a saucy dare, and the second time kissed again Grace as well as new bombshell Tiffany as he was asked to pick two girls he would have a threesome with.

Samantha, who Joey has been coupled up with since he arrived in the villa, was left devastated by Joey and Grace's very passionate kiss.

In the diary room, the Liverpool-born didn't hesitate to remark how disappointed she was with his choice.

The couple had a chat mere hours before the game, and Samantha asked the reality star to not 'make her look like a fool' as she wouldn't want to be in the same situation as fellow Islanders Jess and Harriett with Ronnie.

But Joey didn't think twice to say: 'I would never do you like that. Ever. I would never disrespect you that way.'

Joey and the stunning model from Manchester, 25, briefly dated a year ago after meeting in Ibiza.

And as the TV star gets reacquainted with former flame Grace, Samantha seems unsure of where she stands with him as their future hangs in the balance hot off the heels of Grace's arrival.

On Sunday's instalment Samantha chose to distance herself and firstly went to sleep outside on the day beds.

As Joey heads over to Samantha and asks: 'Samantha, what are you doing?'

'We just played a game in the garden that's all it was,' to which Samantha responds: 'I just want to back off now because you and her have got something good.'

'You're telling everyone you're not bothered but you're sleeping on the day bed,' Joey quipped annoyed.

During the heated conversation on Sunday's episode Joey (pictured) said: 'We just played a game in the garden that's all it was,' to which Samantha responded: 'I just want to back off now because you and her have got something good'

As the conversation continues, Samantha says: 'I'm not bothered, I want you and her to rekindle.'

'Why are you saying that, that doesn't mean I'm going to rekindle,' Joey said attempting to reassure her.

Fans are now convinced Joey will dump Samantha in favour of Grace, citing the pair's palpable connection.
