Watch as the man who taught Michael Jackson the Moonwalk does it live in London
The man who taught Michael Jackson the Moonwalk, Jeffrey Daniel, did it live in London last weekend, and fans were delighted.
Shalamar is a funk and R&B band who rose to prominence in the 1970s and throughout the 1980s, and on Sunday night they returned to the Dominion in central London after selling out an impressive slew of consecutive shows at the venue back in 1982.
Jeffrey Daniel, Howard Hewett, and Carolyn Griffey have been dazzling fans across the UK with Shalamar's Greatest Hits Tour, and their show in London was no different.

Jeffrey is the man who taught Michael Jackson the iconic Moonwalk, and he couldn't help but show off his impressive dancing skills - and the iconic move itself - while on stage last Sunday. After an awkward moment when the band experienced a stage invader during I Can Make You Feel Good, Jeffrey put on a show when he descended into a dance break.

Popping and locking, and moving in robotic styles, Jeffrey donned some gloves as he danced up a storm while on the stage at the Dominion. The crowd went absolutely wild as he showed off his skills before thrilling fans with the famous backslide, which would later become the Moonwalk after he taught it to Michael Jackson.
Before MJ made the move legendary at Motown 25 in 1983, it was Jeffrey who first performed the backslide on Top of the Pops, catching Jackson's attention and leading to a personal request for lessons.
While on stage last weekend, Jeffrey exhibited pure passion as he danced the night away with his bandmates. Moving non-stop and loving every second, it was clear that dancing is Jeffrey's passion, with the singer and choreographer putting his heart and soul into the performance while on stage.

In an exclusive chat with The Mirror earlier this year, Jeffrey spoke of teaching MJ the iconic dance move when he said: "I did a couple of exhibition dances on Soul Train. Little did I know that Michael Jackson was watching," he told us.
"I was watching the Jackson Five, of course, but I never would have dreamt that that Michael Jackson was watching me. I was his favorite dancer on Soul Train. And eventually, he made me a call to teach him how to do the dance," Jeffrey revealed during the interview.
Speaking about the aftermath of his Top of the Pops performance, which led to MJ calling him to arrange some dancing lessons, Jeffrey added: "The first four or five times that I went to his house, just to give him dancing instructions, and I'm just one-on-one with Michael Jackson... I'm pinching myself, you know, when it's time to wrap up and leave and I'm walking to my car going 'I was with Michael Jackson, I was with Michael Jackson, I was with Michael Jackson', it took a while to get over that because he was so elusive He was so, you know, far away. You only saw him on TV."
