MANILA, Philippines -- AFTER successfully returning the crown in Sampaloc, Manila, Lady Bulldogs top gunners Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon skipped the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft and expected to have another run with National University.
All eyes are on Belen and Solomon after winning the UAAP championship, and questions arise on whether they will both turn pro.
But after the release of the 47 hopefuls of the PVL's first-ever draft, the Bulldogs cage remained the same as the names of NU's stars were not included.
NU's core is still complete as Belen and Solomon will play along with Sheena Toring, Vange Alinsug, Lams Lamina, Erin Pangilinan and Sharia Jardio
Belen took the UAAP Season 86 Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, while Solomon was hailed the Finals MVP.
As they took a much-needed break and recovery, NU's aces did not play during the AVC Challenge Cup but are now preparing with the national team Alas Pilipinas for the FIVB Challenger Cup.
