Smiling Kate Middleton supported by her three children at Trooping the Colour
Kate Middleton was joined by her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as she made her first public appearance in six months.
The Princess of Wales has stepped out of the limelight for the first half of 2024 as she continues to undergo cancer treatment.

But for the first time this year, the mum-of-three made a public appearance with the support of her children at Trooping the Colour for her father-in-law King Charles' birthday.

George, Charlotte, and Louis stepped up to the mark as they accompanied their beloved mum on the carriage ride from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.
Prince Louis, who has made it somewhat a routine to steal the show at royal events, was seen waving at adoring fans that lined the streets.

His sister Princess Charlotte looked ever so grown up in her navy dress with a white trim, sweetly coordinating with her mum, and a white bow in her hair.
Trooping the Colour is a royal ceremony held annually to celebrate the birthday of the British King or Queen since 1748.

Though King Charles was born on November 14, the Sovereign's Birthday Parade has typically been held on a Saturday, to reduce the impact on traffic, in June, due to the UK weather.

The ceremony consists of a military parade with more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians as well as members of the Royal Family in carriages and on horseback.
The parade route begins at Buckingham Palace and travels towards Horse Guards Parade where King Charles is then greeted by a royal salute before he inspects the troops.

The day finishes with a flypast by the Royal Air Force with the Royal Family watching from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
King Charles' first Trooping the Colour took place in June 2023 with Kate and her three children travelling in a carriage with Queen Camilla.

Thousands came out to watch the ceremony with crowds lining the streets along The Mall in London to catch a glimpse of the royals, and the 2024 occasion was no different.
