Storm Rookie Nika Muhl’s Honest Admission About Lack of WNBA Playing Time is Turning Heads
It didn't take long for Nika Muhl to become a fan favorite at UConn.
Playing alongside Paige Bueckers and Aaliyah Edwards, Muhl's defensive excellence and timely shooting ability perfectly complemented those around her.
And it's those qualities which led to Muhl being drafted by the Seattle Storm with the 14th overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Yet, after being a starter at UConn, Muhl finds herself in a situation where she barely sees the court. This has got to be a tough transition for any player; let alone someone as competitive as Muhl.
Although Muhl didn't sound too upset about being tethered to the bench.

Muhl was interviewed prior to the Storm's most recent WNBA game. When asked about overcoming the visa issues that kept her out of the first few games of the WNBA season, Muhl responded with, "I'm just glad that I get to sit on the bench."
Although Muhl would obviously rather be on the court playing, it sounds like the rookie is soaking up wisdom from the Storm's veteran corps during this 2024 season.
