Is this the end of Hollywood's bitterest divorce? Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans 'sign stipulation' three years after acrimonious split that descended into harassment, stalking and abuse allegations

It's the bitterest divorce in Hollywood – but Alice Evans and Ioan Gruffudd appear to have finally reached a resolution, more than three years after splitting up.

Papers filed this week at the Superior Court of California state that a 'mandatory settlement conference' has been pulled from the calendar as both parties have signed a 'stipulation'.

A stipulation is a contract between both spouses relating to all matters in a divorce.

The order, dated June 3, notes: 'The matter is not called for hearing. The Court is in receipt of a stipulation that has been signed by both parties.'

The stipulation is not yet publicly available but it should cover both custody and child and spousal support issues, which had remained unresolved during the 40 months since Gruffudd left his marriage.

He is now engaged to aspiring actress Bianca Wallace, who had been an extra on the TV show Harrow, in which he starred, which was shot in Brisbane in 2020.

Alice Evans admits she 'didn't react well' when her 'life was uprooted' by acrimonious split from ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd amid very public legal battle and slanging matches

Evans said in a social media post in January 2021 that her Fantastic Four and Liar star husband had announced that he was leaving her and their two daughters Ella and Elsie 'because he no longer loves me'.

Evans was made subject to a restraining order by her estranged husband in February 2022 after she posted a number of messages about him and his new girlfriend on social media and allegedly sent him over 100 texts. One suggested: 'You've got your nuts stuck in her veneers.' She denied abusing or harassing him.

The order was extended for three years in August 2022, and Evans was forbidden from posting about either Gruffudd or his girlfriend Bianca Wallace.

Earlier this year in an Instagram post, the 102 Dalmatians actress admitted that she had not reacted well when the marriage abruptly disintegrated.

She said: 'My life was uprooted with no warning in 2020. I didn't react well. I applaud the people who do. But I'm intact. My girls are intact.

'Loving life and happy. I have offers coming in. Things are looking up. Thank you ALL of you that have stuck by me. I will never, ever forget.' This past weekend she was in Charlotte at a fan conference for the Vampire Diaries in which she starred.

Ioan previously claimed in court filings that he believed Alice had breached the order that prevented her from mentioning him on social media for three years

Following their separation in March 2021, the actors have been locked in a very public legal battle and slanging matches that threatened to overshadow their respective careers (pictured in 2018)

In June last year, elder daughter Ella, then 13, applied for a restraining order against Gruffudd after a custody visit ended in chaos. She said: 'I was so mad at my dad because this was an overnight visit, and I had told him in the past that I didn't want to meet his girlfriend who was now his live-in girlfriend.'

She claimed that Ms Wallace had slammed a door against her head as she was running from their apartment after pouring milk and mustard around in protest.

In publicly available documents she said that she was 'afraid' of her father and said that he had threatened to 'call the police on her anytime she misbehaves' during visits.

The request for a restraining order was dropped in court by Ella, who faced her father's legal team.

In August last year a judge agreed to Gruffudd's request for a child psychiatrist, and agreed that Evans should take the children to weekly 'reunification therapy' sessions.

Evans said it was not necessary as he had not seen or called his daughters in three months.

The couple married in Mexico in 2007 after meeting on the set of the Disney film 102 Dalmatians.
