Raheem Morris provides updates on Falcons injuries
Ahead of a highly anticipated season, Falcons injuries are the topic of discussion during the offseason.
Kirk Cousins is the most notable situation to monitor. Despite tearing his Achilles, Atlanta still gave him $180 million in free agency, with half of it fully guaranteed.
He’s easily the most important player for the Falcons team this year, and his health is something that we should pay close attention to. At this point, Cousins hasn’t had any setbacks, and Raheem Morris told members of the Atlanta media that the veteran has done everything he can at this moment.
Cousins’ health is the most important development of the Falcons’ offseason, but there are other players who are also nursing injuries. Bijan Robinson is dealing with an ankle issue, while A.J. Terrell has a hamstring injury.
Morris also updated the Atlanta media on the pair’s status, saying Robinson is expected back on the field next week for minicamp and Terrell later this week in OTAs.
June 3-4 will be Falcons OTAs, and they will continue to June 6, then Atlanta will conclude its early phase June 10-12 when it conducts mandatory minicamp in Flowery Branch before entering the dead period leading into training camp.
The Falcons won’t have any open practices at Flowery Branch for fans like they have in the past because of construction, though. Fans will have two chances to see the new-look team, once in Buford and once in Mercedes-Benz Stadium later in the offseason. Hopefully, these Falcons injuries won’t be a talking point at the time.

The first will take place at Seckinger High School in Buford on Saturday, July 27, as a part of the NFL’s Training Camp Back Together Weekend. The free practice will mark the Falcons’ return to a local high school for the first time since a 2016 practice at Grayson High School.
The second will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday, August 2. Tickets for the practice at Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be only $5 with proceeds benefitting support of medical programs and treatment services at Emory Healthcare, the official team healthcare provider of the Atlanta Falcons.
