Man left in critical condition, woman injured after Marrickville stabbing
A man has been left fighting for life and a woman has been seriously injured after a stabbing attack.
Emergency services were called to a home on Sydnenham Rd, Marrickville just before 6pm on Thursday after reports of a stabbing near Marrickville High School.
Paramedics discovered a 25-year-old man with stabs wounds to his face, neck, head and back, and a 55-year-old woman who had a stab wound to her throat.

Both were rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, with the woman now in a stable condition and the man still fighting for his life.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
The 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Newtown Police Station.
Police allege that all three individuals are known to each other.
He’s been charged with two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.
The man will appear before Newtown Local Court on Friday.
