A former public schoolgirl kicked two police officers outside a McDonald's restaurant, as it emerged she has previous convictions for assault and homophobic abuse.

Hanita Dadswell, 31, assaulted PC Nathan Hayward and a colleague after they found her drunk outside an off-licence in Kensington High Street on 9 April last year.

Samir Amin, prosecuting, told Westminster Magistrates' court: 'The officers approached her with the intention of assisting her in getting home safely. She walked away from them.

'They followed her into a McDonald's where she caused some disturbance.

'When they came out of McDonald's the officers tried to apprehend her.'

She was convicted of shouting homophobic abuse at a police officer in October 2022 and handed a conditional discharge for two years.

Dadswell, of Maida Vale, London, was fined for threatening behaviour in 2019 for lunging at police officers with a wine bottle after a boozy date with her boyfriend.

She had drunkenly ranted she 'didn't bloody like the police' after officers were called out to investigate a report she had been assaulted on Valentine's Day.

Then in March 2021, she was handed a 12-month community order for assaulting a police officer and calling another PC a 'Welsh dyke' following an incident at a boyfriend's home in Chelsea.

This week, Dadswell admitted two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and was released on unconditional bail ahead of sentencing at Westminster Magistrates on 19 June.
