men's college world series champions, year-by-year

Pitcher Paul Skenes was named the most outstanding player of the 2023 College World Series after he helped lead LSU to the title.

If recent history is any indicator of success, a team from the Southeastern Conference will hold up the Men's College World Series national championship trophy at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

The conference has produced each of the last four and five of the last six winners of the double-elimination tournament, with LSU winning its seventh national championship last season over conference rival Florida.

Also, the Tigers' chances of winning it all again aren’t great, as there hasn’t been a repeat champion since South Carolina pulled off the feat in 2010 and 2011.

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day.
