Trump rages at FBI for 'rummaging' through Barron's 'private quarters' and claims federal agents wanted a GUN BATTLE with the Secret Service

Former President Donald Trump went after the FBI for rummaging through son Barron's 'private quarters' during the 2022 Mar-a-Lago raid and floated that federal agents wanted a gun battle with the ex-president's Secret Service detail.

Trump made the claims in an overnight post Thursday on Truth Social, expanding on the unfounded and shocking assertion he had made Tuesday - that President Joe Biden was 'locked & loaded ready to take me out.'

The conspiracy theory grew out of language included in a document outlining the legal parameters for the FBI's search for classified materials taken from the White House and stowed at Trump's Florida estate and social club.

In Trump's late night post he talked about getting Secret Service protection after his historic 2016 Victory against "Beautiful" Hillary Clinton.'

'Shockingly, however, Crooked Joe Biden's Department of Injustice authorized the use of "deadly force" in their Illegal, UnConstitutional, and Un-American RAID of Mar-a-Lago, and that would include against our Great Secret Service, who they thought might be "in the line of fire,"' Trump claimed.

'As I told Crooked Joe's DOJ, if they needed anything, "all they had to do was ask,"' the ex-president continued. 'They did not have to ILLEGALLY AND UNCONSTITUTIONALLY RAID my home, and rummage through my family's, including Barron's, private quarters.'

He then ended the Truth post by using all-caps: 'END THESE THIRD WORLD WITCH HUNTS, AND MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!'

Attorney General Merrick Garland was asked about Trump's assassination claims Thursday at a press conference on an unrelated matter.

'That allegation is false,' Garland said. 'And it is extremely dangerous.'

'The document that is being referred to in the allegation is the Justice Department's standard policy limiting the use of force,' the Biden appointee continued. 'As the FBI advises, it is part of a standard operations plan for searches and, in fact, it was even used in the consensual search of President Biden's home.'

Trump's wild assassination claim came the same week that Judge Aileen Cannon reconvened lawyers in the ex-president's classified documents case since indefinitely postponing the trial.

In court on Wednesday, Cannon schooled prosecutor David Harbach, a member of special counsel Jack Smith's team.

At the same time, prosecutors working for special counsel Jack Smith and Trump aide Walt Nauta and his attorney were back in court in front of the Trump appointed Judge Aileen Cannon discussing the classified documents case

'I'm going to have to ask that you calm down,' Cannon, a Trump appointee, told Harback, according to Politico.

Cannon had asked Harbach if prosecutors had withheld evidence of an August 2022 meeting with defense lawyer Stanley Woodward, who is representing Trump aide Walt Nauta, charged with obstructing the government's classified documents probe.

While also having Nauta as a client, Woodward was up for a judicial appointment, which would be made by Democratic President Joe Biden.

Woodward contends that during the August 2022 meeting with prosecutor Jay Bratt, Bratt implied that Woodward would not be appointed to the judicial branch unless Nauta cooperated in the Trump classified documents case.

Harbach argued in court Wednesday that Woodward bringing up the meeting was part of a 'garbage argument' to try and get charges against Nauta dismissed.

The prosecutor added that Woodward's version of the meeting was a 'fantasy' that 'did not happen,' Politico said.

Cannon made no decisions this week on whether there was prosecutorial misconduct in Nauta's case, nor did she make any decisions on whether other charges should be dropped due to technical issues.
