This Mediterranean-style mansion built and once owned by retired Grand Prix motorcycle racer John Kocinski, which once asked $30 million, is now back on the market for $10.49 million.
Architect Richard Robertson III, who handled Fleur de Lys — a 45,000-square-foot megamansion that sold for $102 million in cash in 2014 — designed the home in the Hollywood Hills’ Bird Streets area.

Kocinski bought the property at 9240 Robin Drive for $2.3 million in 2004, built the house in 2019 and then listed it for that hefty $30 million sum.
Ultimately, Michael Shabani, founder of Crown Equity — a Beverly Hills-based real estate investment, development and management company — ended up buying it for $6.5 million in 2022 at a no-reserve auction.
At 7,682 square feet, the white stucco and clay tile home comes with four bedrooms, eight baths, a screening room, a library and an 800-bottle wine cellar.

A gated driveway leads to the home, which opens from a dramatic double-door entry framed in limestone topped by a balcony.
Design details include 12-foot beamed ceilings, stone and marble floors, and five fireplaces with hand-carved mantels.
The main floor features a living room, a library, a wet bar and a formal dining room. There’s also a chef’s kitchen and a butler’s pantry. Statement stairs lead to a lounge area, a second wet bar and a large main bedroom where French doors lead to a balcony.

A lower level off of the rotunda houses the screening room with a wet bar and the wine cellar. French doors lead to the rear garden with terraces and an infinity-edge pool — with views from downtown LA to the ocean.
Kocinski, who raced from the late 1980s through 1999, won a Grand Prix World Championship in 1990 and a Superbike World Championship in 1997.
