Pregnant Megan McKenna reveals she's been left bedbound with tooth pain and migraines as she issues health update after being rushed to hospital over 'huge scare'

Megan McKenna revealed she's been left bedbound with toothache and migraines as she issued a health update on Instagram.

The reality TV star, 31, who is pregnant with her first child, confessed that she has started getting pain in her tooth again just weeks after she was rush to hospital.

She had a huge 'scare' earlier this month when she woke up to a swollen throat and tongue after suffering a reaction to medication from her dentist.

But despite being on medication for two weeks, Megan confessed on Wednesday that the pain had returned and she was left bedbound all day with a migraine.

Megan said she had to visit a dentist in Dubai as she had been stressed for two weeks over taking her medication given the recent scare.

Lying in bed responding to a question about pregnancy and tooth problems, Megan took to her Stories and confessed to having a 'really s**t day'.

The soon-to-be mum said: 'Well today has been eventful. I have been back to the dentist in Dubai. I have a pain in my jaw again so after two courses of antibiotics which has already stressed me out enough. I have started to get pain in the tooth again, the one I had a root canal.

'I had to go back today to have a root canal... I can't remember what it is called but you go in and have it again but they redress it, clean it out, flush it and put an antibiotic medicine in the tooth and I have been in bed since four pm with a wet flannel on my head.

'I have had a migraine all afternoon so yeah.. it has been a really s**t day. We went outside in the sun to eat lunch for like half an hour and I was like omg I need to get into bed so I have spent the whole afternoon in bed'

She captioned the clip: 'Stressing me out all these antibiotics/ dental work'.

The update come just days after she revealed she was rushed to hospital after suffering a serious allergic reaction.

Megan revealed she had a huge 'scare' when she woke up and her tongue and throat were swollen after suffering a reaction to medication from the dentist.

She explained to her fans in a candid video that she was left in 'so much pain' as her tongue 'doubled in size' which caused her to seek medical treatment.

The former TOWIE star described the reaction as 'the worse thing ever' and said she believes her 'pregnancy has made her body more sensitive'.

Speaking while in a car, Megan said: 'I just want to give you an update so yesterday I was in A&E and I woke up in the morning and my tongue was double the size and my neck and throat were swollen.

'It was affecting me swallowing and everything, it was so scary.'

She continued: 'The day before I rang 111 and they sent paramedic round and they sent me to an emergency dentist where they prescribed me metronidazole and was on that for a day but as soon as I started taking it I started to feel weird.

'My neck started hurting, the swelling got worse, I was being sick and that's why yesterday they told me to ring 999 if my swelling got worse, obviously because it can stop you from breathing.

'When the paramedics came they said I could have a secondary reaction because my tongue was really really swollen so they needed me to be in hospital to give me everything they needed to.

'When I got there they gave me steroids and I'm still on them now for a few days, and gave me an antihistamine and they have changed my antibiotics. I'm now on different one.

'I've had root canal and it is now all about getting better, like it is just so bad. I just think being pregnant has made my body so much more sensitive, I'm allergic to so many things.'

She concluded: 'Anyway to wrap it up, I've been in so much pain, I've been on codeine and paracetamol and I've still been in pain. Honestly, the worse thing ever and I wouldn't wish it on anyway.

'I've been literally eating baby food, like chopped up food the last few days to try and get some nutrients. But that is the update and I'm still swollen on my neck and underneath my tongue but no where near as bad as yesterday luckily.

She revealed to her almost three million followers that this was because she had been struggling with a painful absence.

Megan wrote on a black background: 'Sorry I've been quite (sic) I've been really unwell, I have an abscess [sic], which has been the most painful thing I've ever experienced & I've had an allergic reaction to medication I took for it.

'It all lead to bad swelling in and under my tongue & neck which has been very scary.. I can't thank Birmingham city hospital enough & the ambulance service for taking care of me this morning.

'The care I received was amazing. Im still recovering & still abit swollen but I'm on the right medication to help it. I wanted to get back to your dms as I know some of you have been worried about me.. Thankyou for checking in.

The former TOWIE star has been renting out her home for £3,500 a month since October but now she's looking to completely cut ties ahead of the birth of her first baby.

Megan has been living in the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house complete with walk-in wardrobe and cinema room since 2016, often sharing videos from inside the spotlessly clean abode with her 2.8million fanbase.

After undergoing fertility treatment, Megan and Birmingham City footballer Oliver, 27, fell pregnant and the country singer publicly thanked her 'amazing' doctors for the 'magical experience.'

Selling her home further cements Megan's relocation from Essex to the Midlands, where Oliver is stationed with the Championship club, as the engaged couple prepare to start their family together.

A source told MailOnline: 'Megan hasn't been living at the property since October but now she's finally ready to sell up and move on from Essex for good.

'It has been a huge change for her but the most exciting time, she's expecting the baby of her dreams, and can't wait to start the next chapter of her life with Oliver.

'She will always be an Essex girl at heart but now she has to say goodbye to the first house she bought herself as she prepares to become a mother and wife.'

In 2016, Megan purchased the property in Loughton, the same year she starred on Celebrity Big Brother.
