Kelly Osbourne knows she had an unconventional upbringing, and that was alright with her.

"We were a musical family were always on tour, and I grew up on the road," she tells PEOPLE.

"For me, that was a beautiful experience, and it's one that I can also give to Sidney," Osbourne, 38, says of her baby boy, 15 months, whom she shares with Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson.

"He'll get to travel the world, meet all sorts of people, get exposure to art and music and science and things he never would see if he wasn't traveling the world."

But the one thing she says she'll do differently?

"I'm definitely not going to let my 15-year-old go to clubs and drink," she says, laughing. "Don't think he's going to be in bars at 15 like I was."

Osbourne, who is now sober, has been candid about her drinking in the past and partied as a teen on her previous MTV series The Osbournes. She opened up in 2021 about her sobriety journey and relapse.

"I am an addict and had thought that I had enough time under my belt and I could drink like a normal person, and it turns out I cannot and I will never be normal," she said in an interview with Extra. "I don't know why I even tried it. It's not for me and it took me a matter of days and I was like done, not doing this."

Osbourne says she's actually in the middle of rewatching her MTV show The Osbournes with her whole family for a show called The Basement Tapes for their new platform Osbourne Media House, and they joke about how much permissiveness parents Sharon and Ozzy gave to her and her brother Jack growing up.

"My mom's like, 'If I have to hear that I will never let my children do what you let us do one more time...' " she says. "It's literally all we've been talking about! But I don't think I would do it much differently if I'm being honest."

She adds, "My mom was raised the way I was raised. (Sharon's father was rock promoter and band manager Don Arden.)

"Now my son's being raised the way I was raised. Family was always priority."
