Matt Forte feels a change in the Chicago Bears' culture

Earlier today, former Chicago Bears Pro Bowl running back Matt Forte appeared on the Up & Adams show with Kay Adams for a fun interview about several hot topics surrounding the Bears.

Forte recently spent some time with Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, so Adams asked him what stood out during his time with the number one overall draft pick.

"What stood out to me is he's a good kid," Forte said. "You can see deep down inside that he cares. He wants to win. It's not a prideful thing where he's coming in like, 'Yeah, I'm the number one pick, and everybody is supposed to love me and all that.' It's more like he wants to prove himself."

Forte goes on to say that both Williams and fellow first-round pick Rome Odunze are very humble and hungry for success.

Adams also asked Forte about the current culture around the Bears franchise.

"I do feel a change in the [Bears] culture," he said. "When I retired, it was like, 'Thank you, see you next lifetime.' And that's no disrespect to anybody; it's just that's the truth."

"Now Ryan [Bears GM Ryan Poles], like I said, we were in the same draft class. He was undrafted, but we spent a camp together, so he knows the value of having former guys be in the building, come around, come to practice, and those things. Kevin understands that as well, [team president] Kevin Warren. They have always been very open and inviting to all of the guys who are former players but also legends who played at a high level. And I think when you have that, it inspires the younger guys who are coming up; they want to walk in the same footsteps, and they want to be great as well."

Forte also said the Bears are on the right path to "really do some damage and go deep into the playoffs, and probably Super Bowl as well."

"The timing is right in Chicago."

You can check out a few of Forte's clips in the following embeds.
