The much-anticipated date of the San Francisco 49ers‘ schedule release is finally here.

The 49ers’ list of home and away opponents has been out for some time, but we’ll soon know when they will play their 17 regular season games in 2024.

The NFL and its network partners will officially announce the schedule at 8 p.m. Eastern, but leaks will come throughout the day to slowly fill in the picture.

Thursday Night Football

San Francisco is set for its second primetime game of the year a few weeks into the campaign when it travels to face division rival Seattle on Thursday Night Football, according to Jurecki.

The game will stream on Amazon Prime Video as part of the streaming platform’s slate of Thursday night games.

Week 7

49ers vs. Chiefs

FOX | 4:25 p.m. ET (Sunday, Oct. 20)

The much-anticipated rematch of Super Bowl 58 is set to be played in Week 7 as the 49ers host the Chiefs in what could be one of the top games of the 2024 season.

The contest will not be played in one of the standalone slots, but did make the late afternoon slate and will be broadcast on FOX, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

San Francisco is set to be back in primetime a week after its Super Bowl rematch when it hosts Dallas for an intriguing Week 8 clash on Sunday Night Football, according to Jurecki.

The 49ers have what looks to be one of their key road tests of the 2024 season in Week 12 when they are reportedly set to face the Packers on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. Eastern, as reported by Packers beat writer Matt Schneidman.

The 49ers face another of their tougher AFC foes on the schedule when they take on the Bills in a contest that is slated for Sunday Night Football, according to Jurecki.
