UW QB Will Rogers Attends Manning Passing Academy

Will Rogers has served as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy more than almost any other quarterback in college football.
This past weekend Rogers was back in Thibodaux, La., on the campus of Nicholls State for the annual premier four-day event hosted by Archie, Eli and Peyton Manning, roughly a three hour drive from his hometown in Mississippi.
During his four seasons at Mississippi State he attended the event three times (2021-23), returning for a fourth time as a representative of the University of Washington in 2024.
Rogers, who committed to play out west back in December under former coach Kalen DeBoer and stayed after having a discussion with new coach Jedd Fisch in January, is continuing the streak of Husky quarterbacks to make the trip down south after Michael Penix Jr. served as a counselor at the MPA in 2023.
The only other previous UW quarterback to attend is Jake Browning, who made the trek from Seattle to Thibodaux twice in 2017-18.
Rogers was one of six Big Ten Conference quarterbacks invited to the event, along with Rocco Becht (Iowa State), Hudson Card (Purdue), Will Howard (Ohio State), Tyler Van Dyke (Wisconsin), and both Oregon signal-callers, Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore.
