Angel Reese Makes WNBA History Against Atlanta Dream
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese just keeps making history. Aside from extending her double-double streak on Tuesday against the Atlanta Dream, the Chi Barbie also achieved another rare WNBA milestone.
According to Stat Mamba, Reese is now the third-fastest player in WNBA history to record at least 200 points and 200 rebounds. Tuesday's showdown is just Reese's 18th game of the 2024 campaign.
Sure enough, however, it didn't really come as a surprise that Reese was able to breach the 200-200 point-rebound mark. She's averaging a double-double entering the showdown, and considering her recent streak, it was really only a matter of time before she reached those numbers.
Angel Reese, who was named Rookie of the Month for June amid her hot stretch of double-doubles, also became the only WNBA player this season with 200 points and 200 rebounds. Again, that's among all player and not only rookies.
That achievement certainly speaks volumes of how consistent and dominant Reese has been this 2024.

Reese finished the Sky-Dream showdown with 12 points and 19 boards as Chicago took the 85-77 win. With that performance, Reese's double-double streak stays alive at 11 consecutive games.
