Ten years after Serge Pizzorno and the group last took to the stages at Worthy Farm, insiders have confirmed that they are booked to play.

A source told the publication: 'Glastonbury is always a big deal but this year Kasabian really can't wait, especially as it's a decade since they were last there.

'They loved the idea of being a secret act and jumped at the idea when it was suggested by Glasto boss Emily Eavis.

The set will be an hour long.

In the past at Glastonbury surprise acts have included The Killers, Radiohead and the Foo Fighters.

A second surprise performer for this year's Glastonbury was revealed to be folk singer-songwriter Beans On Toast.

Glastonbury began on Wednesday and ends on Sunday.

Headlining this year's festival are Coldplay on Saturday night, SZA on Sunday night, and Dua Lipa who performed on Friday night.

Shania Twain, 58, will play on Sunday in the late afternoon, and she opened up about how she is preparing.
