Texas QB Arch Manning has an eight-word message about his playing time in 2024
Texas has one of the top quarterback rooms in the country heading into the 2024 season.
Starting quarterback Quinn Ewers is considered a Heisman contender and one of the top players in the country, while backup Arch Manning was a former five-star recruit preparing for his opportunity.
Some national media analysts enjoy toying around with the idea of Manning transferring elsewhere for more playing time, but Manning is taking advantage of sitting and developing behind Ewers.

At the Manning Passing Academy this week, the redshirt sophomore discussed his mindset heading into the 2024 season. "I feel like I'm getting better every day," Manning said who also touched on what he's doing to be prepared. "Just trying to stay ready. Anything can happen. I’m excited and I’m gonna be ready.”
It's not out of the realm for Texas to need to rely on Manning this season. Ewers has suffered brief injuries the last two seasons as the starter.
In 2023, Manning appeared in two games as the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart and looked poised and confident leading the offense. Whether Manning's number is called this year or next, Texas is in a great spot at the position for the foreseeable future.
