Failed ammunition from North Korea devastates Russian artillery in Kherson

They showed fragments of 2S5 Hyacinth somewhere in the Kherson Oblast.

A photo of the 2S5 Giatsint self-propelled gun, torn to shreds, is circulating online. According to informants from the Telegram channel, it was taken somewhere in the Kherson region. "Kim definitely deserves some medal for the ammunition delivered to Russia," internet users ironically comment, discussing the loss of the Russian army on the front. Faulty ammunition from North Korea blew up the Russian equipment.

This is not the first example of Russians increasingly using ammunition supplied by North Korea on the front. This is one of the reasons why Vladimir Putin recently visited the country ruled by Kim Jong Un.

Earlier, there were T-54/55 tanks and M-46 field guns powered by North Korean ammunition. Recently, a photo presented online shows a 2S5 Giatsint self-propelled gun that exploded due to using faulty ammunition. As seen, Russian equipment did not emerge unscathed from the war clash.

The authors of the post argue that it's all due to the poor quality ammunition coming from North Korea, which is why they do not hide their joy at another loss of the aggressor. The Russians have to import equipment from Asians, as they are suffering from shortages.

Kim definitely deserves some medal for the ammunition delivered to Russia - write internet users.

The photo comes from the battlefield in the Kherson region, and the 2S5 Giatsint self-propelled gun is torn to shreds. This is another Russian installation that will not return from the front intact.

Produced between 1978 and 1991, the gun on a tracked platform weighs nearly 30,000 kg. Giatsint, however, does not have a turret, which makes its crew vulnerable to fire, especially from artillery or drones. Although old, it performs well on the battlefield.

The self-propelled gun can also fire shells with nuclear loads, with a destructive power ranging from 0.1 to 2 kilotons. As experts note, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima had a force of 15 kilotons.
