Gen Z Mom Warns Other Parents About Giving Their Babies ‘Insane’ Names
This is all I've been trying to tell people is yes, you are naming a child, but you have to remember this child is going to grow up. They are going to have to be an adult and they are going to have to live with this name for the rest of their lives. And there's been a lot of comments saying, wow, I couldn't imagine judging a child because of their name. I am never judging the children. They are innocent. They didn't pick their names. I'm more so questioning why adults are doing this to their kids nowadays. And from what I can tell in the comments, they just want their kids to be unique. They want their kids to be different. But if you read from the kids that have now grown up, and they're adults now that have had to live with those names themselves, a lot of them don't like it. So if you're on the fence about giving your child a unique, crazy or misspelled name because you want them to be different, try giving yourself that name for a week. Go to a coffee shop, Have a barista call out that name. Go to a restaurant. Put that name under reservation. Just see how it translates into society as an adult and see how many people misspell it. See how many people can't pronounce it. Just see and maybe consider how that would feel before you do that to your kid.
