As Coach Prime and Colorado Await Julian Lewis' Commitment Decision, 5-Star QB Snubbed From Major Recognition to Ohio State Commit

The Elite 11 battle heats up! The quarterback competition saw Julian Lewis fighting for his coveted spot. Lewis, the 5-star recruit, lived up to expectations with consistent accuracy throughout the camp. Even On3's Steve Wiltfong predicted Lewis would win the title, citing his recent success leading Carrollton to "wins at Auburn and Georgia team camps."  Now, Lewis' impressive performance earned him the "Steady as she goes award." But the coveted "Quarterback MVP" title went to a surprise name "” Ohio State commit Tavien St.Clair.   St.Clair wasn't messing around at the Elite 11 camps. This big-time competition puts high school quarterbacks to the test for three days, and St.Clair impressed everyone with his throws. Recently it's been reported that the 5-star recruit who committed to Ryan Day's team last year, " won the Quarterback MVP at the @RivalsCamp." The QB seems to have impressed the authorities with his throws and was described for having "plenty of zip" and a smooth layering ability. He also showed "pinpoint accuracy from various arm angles" and delivered a next-level performance on Day 2 with a score of 43. His polished passing skills led him to a 67 score on Day 3, securing his first place and ultimately the Panini accuracy challenge win. The Elite QB MVP went to St.Clair in a thrilling display of skill, placing him first, with Alabama commit Keelon Russell in second. This victory makes St.Clair the first Ohio State commit to win this MVP since CJ Stroud. While Lewis delivered a strong performance, St.Clair's MVP win raises the question "” Does this threaten Lewis' elite status? 

Buffs wait for decision as Julian Lewis wins pro day

Julian Lewis, a USC commit initially, saw his recruitment explode after visits to Auburn and Coach Prime's Colorado Buffaloes. The Boulder community went wild, creating a "JuJu Precision Pass Burger" and a "We Want JuJu" chant, all fueled by Lewis' impressive high school record of 96 touchdowns. Now, winning the 'Elite 11 MVP' title was expected to further boost his stock. This would have put him on the same pedestal as past Elite 11 stars like Caleb Williams and CJ Stroud. However, the MVP title went elsewhere, throwing a slight curveball. But Lewis bounced back, winning the "Elite 11 Pro Day title." Whether this will be enough to sway the Buffs fans remains to be seen.
