England’s route to the Euro 2024 final with dates and kick-off times

With the group stage over, we know the teams England will have to defeat if they want to reach the Euro 2024 final – and things are looking up for the Three Lions.
Gareth Southgate’s side may have underwhelmed so far in Germany, but victory over Serbia and draws with Denmark and Slovenia were enough to secure top spot in Group C
Now, they’re only four games away from winning their first-ever European Championship – and just their second-major trophy in their history.
We know who they’ll face in the round of 16, but how could the rest of the tournament play out as England look to reach the final in Berlin on July 14?
Let’s take a look at England’s possible route to the Euro 2024 final with the full dates and kick-off times of their potential games.
Who will England play in the Euro 2024 last 16?
England will take on Slovakia in the round of 16, with the match taking place in Gelsenkirchen – the venue for the win over Serbia – on Sunday, June 30 at 5pm.
Slovakia finished third in Group E though that probably doesn’t reflect their surprisingly impressive performances.

They stunned Belgium 1-0 in their opening match and were on course for another three points against Ukraine but a second-half comeback saw them lose 2-1.
They took the lead against Romania in the final group game on Wednesday evening but ended up drawing 1-1, but that was still enough for them to qualify for the knockouts at Ukraine’s expense.
The importance of England finishing top of Group C is even more apparent now, given that second-place Denmark and third-place Slovenia are taking on big boys Germany and Portugal in the last 16.
Who could England play in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals?
Should England defeat Slovakia, as they are expected to do so, they will face the winner of Switzerland vs Italy in Dusseldorf on July 6 at 5pm.

On paper, a rematch of the Euro 2020 final against Italy would be best avoided but Switzerland have arguably been more impressive so far this tournament, nearly beating hosts Germany in their final Group A game.
Who could England play in the Euro 2024 semi-finals?
If Southgate and co. can make it to the final four they’ll play one of Romania, the Netherlands, Austria or Turkey in Dortmund at 8pm on July 10.
The Netherlands have the most pedigree and the best players but haven’t really got going at Euro 2024, finishing third in the ‘Group of Death’.
Ralf Rangnick’s Austria have been one of the most praised sides at the tournament while Romania and Turkey have rightly earned plenty of plaudits, the latter especially for their attacking might.
Who could England play in the Euro 2024 final?
You may have noticed by now that the main tournament favourites have ended up on the other side of the draw from England in a huge boost for the Three Lions.
It means that the final in Berlin on 14 July at 8pm will likely feature one of Spain, hosts Germany, Portugal or France.
But anything can happen, with Georgia, Denmark, Slovenia and Belgium looking to knockout the big guns.
