Ogie Diaz speaks out on Bea Alonzo, LGBTQIA+ involvement
Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz recently addressed various topics in a candid Facebook post titled “MAMA OGS SAYS…”.
His statements came in response to numerous questions from netizens about his professional and personal life.
Ogie’s absence at the PridePH Festival held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle raised questions, given his known membership and support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Addressing this, Ogie explained, “Huh? Umamin na po ba ako? Charot! Actually, di lang po kasi ako mahilig mag-a-attend sa mga event, pero nakasuporta naman po ako. Lalo na at kung very talented ang mga kapatid. Sobrang proud ako sa kanila. Karamihan ng bakla, source ng happiness ng lipunan.”
Ogie also discussed his relationship with actress Bea Alonzo, who had previously sued him. He emphasized that he holds no ill feelings towards her. “Hindi ako galit kay Bea. Kahit nu’ng nagdemanda siya, hindi ako nagalit sa kanya. Alam ko namang hindi naman kami nanira ng reputasyon, tuloy pa din,” he stated. Despite the lawsuit, Ogie continues to feature Bea in his vlogs, asserting his commitment to unbiased reporting.
On dealing with online bashers, Ogie shared his straightforward approach. “Simple lang. I block them. Baka ako pa ika-highblood niya at maging sanhi ng kamatayan niya, kaya isasalba ko na siya. Yung iba kasi, halata mong nananadya na dahil gusto nila, replayan mo sila, kaya kung anu-ano na ang sinasabi against you,” he advised. Ogie’s method reflects his focus on maintaining a positive online environment.
Ogie responded to questions about his involvement in the LGBTQIA+ community and his views on the attractiveness and behavior of gay men. He also offered suggestions for boosting cinema attendance, such as lowering entertainment taxes and providing group discounts.
When asked about his career achievements, including managing the rise of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano, Ogie acknowledged the role of both hard work and luck. He humorously addressed the impermanence of talent management, saying, “May permanente ba sa mundo?”
