She also confirmed that Season 3 is in the midst of writing, though she was trying to be careful not to say too much about the new episodes.

“The girls have been out there for awhile – and they’re thriving,” she said. “We’re in the midst of [writing] right now. I don’t want to give too much away. I always get in trouble. I will say we see Season 3 as a little bit of a return to Season 1 in terms of the vibe, though. All I will say is that the girls have been out there for a while and they’re thriving.”
Series star Samantha Hanratty (Misty) also spoke about the current state of the show. She said that the cast is in “renegotiations right now” for Season 3, but that there’s a “light start date” planned for the production in Vancouver. Hanratty went on to share how eager she is to return to the set and continue the story, revealing how she hasn’t yet been told what will happen with the characters in Season 3.

“We’ll see what ends up actually happening. But it should be pretty soon, which I’m very excited about,” she explained. “I want to get back there so bad. I want to start filming. I want to read these scripts. I want to know what the heck is going to happen. I have so many hopes of what’s going to happen, but I have no idea.”
Yellowjackets Has Won a GLAAD Award
Yellowjackets picking up the win for Outstanding Drama Series at the GLAAD Awards was celebrated by Lyle. While showing some concern about her comments getting her into trouble, Lyle still expressed how much more important she sees the win over a Primetime Emmy Award. The series has garnered several Emmy nominations but hasn’t picked up a win at this time.
“We’ve said this many times in the writers’ room and I don’t know if I’ll get in trouble for saying this, but we’re always like, ‘F–k the Emmys, we want a GLAAD award,’” Lyle said. “I think it’s more meaningful than just getting an award. We have incredible collaborators in our writers’ room, and we’re queer, and to be able to have recognition that that’s what we’re doing, it’s so important to us.”
Season 3 of Yellowjackets doesn’t have a premiere date at this time.
