Gardai believe a woman was accidentally run over by her own car in the driveway of a friend’s home in Co Wexford.
Margaret O’Connor (54) was discovered dead underneath her own car in the driveway of a pal’s home at the Mill Park Estate in Castlebridge on Tuesday morning.
It is thought tragic Margaret, who was not from the area, was tragically struck by and went under her own vehicle when it rolled down the driveway in a freak accident.

Margaret is understood to have been visiting a pal when the accident occurred.
It is suspected that the handbrake of the vehicle may not have been down at the time – and that Margaret may have lay dead for some time before horrified locals came upon the gruesome discovery.
Her body remained at the scene for several hours as Garda forensic officers examined the driveway on Tuesday afternoon.
The keys to the car were also understood to have been found in the ignition.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, local councillor George Lawlor said the community was in shock.
“It’s a shocking incident for the people of the tight knit community of Castlebridge to deal with.
“What appears to have been a freak accident has claimed the life of a young woman who seems to have been going about her daily business.
“It will obviously have huge ramifications for everyone connected and in the area. My thoughts and sympathies and of the community go out to the family and friends of the deceased lady,” he said.
In a statement gardai said they are investigating “all the circumstances” of what they described as a “fatal incident involving a car.”
Officers said the incident is “believed to have occurred between 11:30am and 12 noon,” and that the woman’s body remains at the scene.
“Forensic collision investigators are attending and a section of the Mill Park estate is currently closed to traffic,” the garda spokesperson added.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
The spokesperson said: “Any road users or pedestrians who were in the Mill Park area of Castlebridge this morning between 11:30am and 12 noon and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
“Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
