Floods in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul killed at least 83 people while hundreds more remain missing.
Heavy rain has hit the country for the past seven days, with local authorities reporting up to 103 people missing.
Authorities stated on Sunday, nearly 90,000 people were displaced from their homes.
Brazil’s southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul has been hit the hardest, with the rain causing landslides and the destruction of roads and bridges.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke on Sunday about the need to prepare for future natural disasters.
“We need to stop running behind disasters. We need to see in advance what calamities might happen and we need to work,” he said.
