Barry Keoghan displays touching nod to late mum at Cannes Film Festival
Barry Keoghan has kept his late mum close to his heart over the years and what better time to have her by his side than at the Cannes Film Festival?
The Dublin native stepped out at the 77th annual event on Wednesday for the premiere of his film Bird, which received a seven-minute standing ovation.

Displaying a touching nod to his late mum, who died over 19 years ago, Barry completed his outfit by wearing a silver bracelet with 'Debbie' engraved on it.
Barry's beloved mum Debbie died nearly two decades ago of a heroin overdose, after which the now 31-year-old and his brother spent time in 13 foster homes before being taken in by his granny and aunt.
'She's many years passed now, but I always think about her anyway,' the Banshees of Inisherin star previously told GQ Magazine. 'It’s always just in and around achievements that it's really prominent cause you’d like to celebrate that with her you know?'

Barry is typically one to make his fans swoon and he did so once again as he posed up a storm with his young co-star Jackie Mellor on the red carpet at Cannes.
The actor showcased his fun-loving fatherly side as he and the youngster smiled and posed together as they waved at the onlooking cameras and flashing peace signs.

Barry was also seen helping the President of the International Cannes Film Festival Iris Knobloch fix Jackie's shoe to make sure she looked picture-perfect for their photo op.
After posing up a storm together, Barry took his co-star's hand in his as they walked away together to watch the world premiere of their upcoming film. Seriously, how cute is that?
