March Madness just gets better and better, with two of the college game’s powerhouses now preparing to face off in the Sweet 16 phase of the tournament.
The number five Gonzaga Bulldogs will take on the number one Purdue Boilermakers, and after Gonzaga’s win over number four Kansas, it is set up to be a hugely fascinating contest.
Mark Few’s team racked up a 19-point win over Kansas, forcing many to get excited over what they could achieve in this year’s tournament, but they are going to have to overcome a standard-setting Purdue team to advance to the next round.
The last time they met, at the Maui Invitational, Purdue came out on top, winning 73-63, with Zach Edey enjoying a night to remember, scoring 25 points. Here we round up what you need to know about the next contest between the two giants of the college game.
When is Gonzaga vs Purdue?
The Gonzaga Bulldogs will take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday, March 29. Tip-off is at 7:39 p.m. ET.
The contest will take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI.

March Madness schedule
The Sweet 16 part of the tournament will begin on Thursday, March 28 with Arizona vs Clemson and conclude on Friday, March 29 with Tennessee vs Creighton.
The Elite Eight phase will run from Saturday, March 30 to Sunday, March 31, while the Final Four will take place on Saturday, April 6. The all-important National Championship Game will take place on Monday, April 8.
The West Regional phase of the tournament is taking place in Los Angeles, California, while the West Regional is in Dallas, Texas and the Midwest Regional is in Detroit, Michigan.
The final four and final will take place in Glendale, Arizona, at the State Farm Stadium, the home of the NFL franchise the Arizona Cardinals.
