PARIS (Reuters) – La Bourse de New York a ouvert en nette hausse vendredi, optimiste sur les perspectives de taux de la Réserve fédérale alors que les derniers chiffres d’emploi ont été moins forts qu’attendu.

Dans les premiers échanges, l’indice Dow Jones gagne 521,76 points, soit 1,36% à 38.747,42 points et le Standard & Poor’s 500, plus large, progresse de 1,21% à 5.125,26 points. Le Nasdaq Composite prend 1,94% soit 306,52 points, à 16.147,482.

Le rapport mensuel sur l’emploi publié chaque mois par le département du Travail a montré vendredi que les créations d’emploi avaient été moins fortes que prévu en avril, tandis que le chômage progressait et que le rythme de croissance des salaires ralentissait.

Les opérateurs estiment désormais que la Fed baissera ses taux à deux reprises cette année, alors que la persistance de l’inflation et des tensions sur les marchés avaient éloigné cette possibilité.

“Ce rapport est probablement le plus favorable à la Fed depuis longtemps, ce qui devrait aider les investisseurs à reprendre confiance dans la capacité de la Fed à rester maître de l’inflation”, résume Florian Ielpo, responsable de la recherche macroéconomique chez Lombard Odier IM.

Aux valeurs, Apple progresse de 7,9% après avoir fait état jeudi d’un recul moins important qu’attendu de son chiffre d’affaires au premier trimestre.

Paramount Global avance de 4,4% après que le Wall Street Journal a rapporté qu’Apollo Global Management et Sony Pictures Entertainment ont fait une offre de 26 milliards de dollars en numéraire pour racheter le groupe.
