We are just a month away from the new league year kicking off and free agency opening for all 32 teams. But it’s never too soon to look ahead and project which teams are the best set up for success going into the 2024 season.

In a recent power rankings list by ESPN, they ranked the Raiders at No. 24 in their offseason poll. In that piece, they summed up the offseason plans by the Raiders by saying that they are running it back for the 2024 season.

Here is a snippet of what the site had to say about Las Vegas going into Antonio Pierce’s first year as a full-time head coach and the idea that they are running things back:

Kind of. Because while Antonio Pierce had the “interim” tag removed from his coaching title to become the Raiders’ official head coach, and interim general manager Champ Kelly reassumed his title of assistant GM, giving an oft-rollicking roster a sense of continuity and relief, there is a new GM in Tom Telesco.

How the trio vibes together will go a long way in showing stability, let alone reimagining the offense. Because, yes, the Raiders need a franchise quarterback despite the workmanlike showing of rookie Aidan O’Connell last season.

There are going to be some significant changes for the Raiders and Pierce this offseason. Many around the league believe the Raiders will be highly aggressive in targeting a new quarterback. Plus, there is a chance that one of their All-Pro skill players (Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams) might not return.

But for the most part, things are going to look similar in Las Vegas. And if they can repeat their late-season success, maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
