For theme park and video game fans excited for the arrival of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD in 2025, Universal Orlando Resort revealed new details for one of five lands coming to the all-new Universal Epic Universe theme park.
The new Nintendo-themed land will feature attractions plus dining, shopping, interactive experiences and character meet-and-greets, inspired by the Super Mario franchise and, for the first time in the United States, Donkey Kong Country.
Once travelers enter the theme park, they will be transported through the iconic green pipe into the immersive land, where they will witness Mt. Beanpole, Peach’s Castle, Piranha Plants, pacing Goombas, spinning coins, mystery blocks and more.
Guests will then make their way to Super Mario Land, where Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and other characters will offer attractions such as Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, which fuses augmented reality, projection mapping technology and elaborate environments into the classic game.
At the Yoshi’s Adventure attraction, visitors of all ages will enjoy views of Super Mario Land as they travel through the Mushroom Kingdom in search of glowing eggs. The property will also feature the Toadstool Cafe, Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats, which boast dishes inspired by the world of Super Mario and its characters.
Once visitors get their fill of food, they can head over to Donkey Kong Country, where they will experience the tropical landscape from the video game series, complete with tall trees, waterfalls, landmarks such as The Golden Temple and more.
One of the area’s cornerstones will be Mine-Cart Madness, a family coaster that sends quests through the jungle to help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong protect the coveted golden banana while getting blasted out of a barrel and seemingly jumping over gaps in the track.
The area will also feature a tropical menu and merchandise offerings inspired by the Donkey Kong Country video game franchise and its characters. Guests can play interactive activities, collect digital stamps on attractions, earn digital keys to unlock an exclusive showdown against Bowser Jr. and discover other hidden surprises.
