Connor Bedard, Blackhawks Quiet At IIHF World Championship on Saturday

Connor Bedard was kept of the scoresheet for a second straight game in Canada's 5-3 win over Finland at the IIHF World Championship on Saturday.
Bedard burst out with five goals and an assist in Canada's first three contests at the tournament. Against the Finns in Prague, the 18-year-old Calder Trophy finalist managed only one shot on goal in 13:19 of ice time on a line with Tampa Bay's Nick Paul and Seattle's Jared McCann.
Former Blackhawk Brandon Hagel, Owen Power, Brandon Tanev, Dawson Mercer and Dylan Cozens scored for Canada, which improved to 4-1-0-0 and is tied for first with Switzerland in Group A.
Lukas Reichel had an assist and four shots on goal in 14:49 of ice time for Germany in its 4-2 victory over Poland.
Bedard's linemate for most of the past NHL season, Philipp Kurashev, was held without a point or a shot for the Swiss in their 8-0 rout of Denmark.
